The song was inspired by christmas eve get together at my friend Robert's in Hollywood. A guitarist came over and Robert said, play some music, and I just started singing, "it's a holiday in hollywood". That was 2001. I finished writing the song in 2003 in San Diego, and in 2004 I recorded it, in my friends apartment in LA. The vocals were actually recorded in the shower!! We all know that we sound great in the shower!
